• Scholarships

  • Welcome!

When possible we partner with other organizations to offer various scholarships for individuals throughout the world. Currently there is one scholarship program available; the Hospi Scholarship in partnership with the University of Mid Florida.

Hospitalented partners with organizations like Hope Global Hospitality Tech to provide opportunities like this.

    Hospi Scholarship Program

The Hospi Scholarship is a collaboration between www.Hospitalented.org and the University of Mid Florida (UMF), intended to give individuals around the world a masters degree for a fraction of what it would normally cost. There are three graduate opportunities for students that qualify:

    • Business Administration (MBA): 45 credits, can be completed in eight terms (2 years)
    • Hospitality Management (MSHM): 36 credits, can be completed in six terms (1.5 years)
    • Computer Science (MSCS): 30 credits, can be completed in five terms (1.25 years)

Courses are delivered 100% asynchronously over ten weeks, with regular contact between students and lecturers.

The University of Mid Florida (UMF) was founded in 2020, licensed by the state of Florida in the U.S. UMF is currently seeking accreditation. Learn more at https://universityofmidflorida.education/programs.

NOTE: There is no circumstance where students will be sponsored to visit the campus in the United States, though students who are able to visit independently are welcome. Occasional in-person gatherings will be offered in West Africa.

    General Terms

    • Scholarship packages are set at the end of each year for the following year. When students are accepted to a particular scholarship, they keep it through graduation so long as they maintain a 3.0 average.
    • In the event that a student takes a leave of absence for more than one semester, they will need to re-apply for the scholarship program.
    • Future scholarship packages may not include the same discounts as current packages.
    • UMF will guide students towards opportunities for additional scholarships to cover the cost of various fees, but these are ultimately the responsibility of each student.
    • If an applicant's transcripts are not able to be verified by the admissions team, they may be required to pay for a transcript evaluation. This costs between $100 and $200. We try to avoid this.

    Application Process

There are two steps to apply for the Hospi Scholarship:

    1. Fill out the April & July 2025 Hospi Scholarship Application
    2. Fill out the UMF application at https://universityofmidflorida.education/apply-now

Once you begin the UMF application process you will receive communication through WhatsApp, email (admissions team), and Populi (application platform).

    Communication Protocol

    • You will be prompted to upload application materials through Populi, which is the platform UMF uses to manage all student records.
    • As a backup if uploading to Populi is challenging, the admissions team may accept materials by email using the official email address; admissions@universityofmidflorida.education.
    • You should never send transcripts and other application materials through WhatsApp. WhatsApp is for communication only.

Once you have satisfied the admissions requirements for UMF, you will receive an admissions letter. When you receive this letter, this doubles as having secured a Hospi Scholarship.

    Payment Protocol

    • As part of the UMF application process, there is a $25 application fee.
    • The $25 application fee is reduced as part of the Hospi Scholarship, and cannot be further waived.
    • Students cannot start classes without first satisfying the application fee.
    • It is at the discretion of the UMF team to admit you before or after the application fee has been satisfied.
    • If a transcript must be evaluated, there will be an additional fee paid to the transcript service.
    • There are no other fees due for the first term.
    • Students begin paying ARF (academic resource fees) their second term.

NOTE: At times the UMF admissions team may not be aware of the Hospi Scholarship you may have been awarded, so please don't be alarmed if they request additional funds. If this happens, simply refer them to this page and you can CC Damien@ProfDuchamp.com on email exchanges.

Any questions should be directed to admissions@universityofmidflorida.education.

Please note that applying for the Hospi Scholarship is NOT the same as the application for University of Mid Florida enrollment. You have to do both.
